FIELD PRODUCER
An experienced broadcast field producer covering stories for the BBC for television, radio and online.
From securing an exclusive interview with President Kabila during tense elections in the DRC which saw President Kabila defeated after 18 years in power, to youth protests in Nigeria calling for an end to police brutality and the kidnappings of more than a thousand school children in northern Nigeria. After nearly three years in West Africa, I’ve covered coups in Mali, the death of Chad’s President Deby, youth protests in Senegal, and Nigeria’s many security challenges - from Boko Haram, to mass kidnappings in the north-west.
Outside of sub-saharan Africa, I’ve worked regularly in Israel and Tunisia, covering the aftermath of the Arab Spring. I obtained exclusive access to the OPCW led international mission to collect Syria’s Chemical Weapons. I have worked in France, Germany and Brussels for many years and am at ease using French and German for work. My Arabic is a work in progress!
